He was born on August 28, 2024, in Laval, in Sylvie’s home on Saint-Elzéar Street.
His mother, Tché Tché, was a husky from an Indigenous community in the Cabonga. When Sylvie met her on a fishing trip, Tché Tché was pregnant. Aware of the harsh reality of the territory — where ownerless dogs are culled once a year — Sylvie refused to let this dog and her unborn pups be abandoned to that fate. So she brought Tché Tché home with her, all the way from the Cabonga to Laval!
There, in the safety and warmth of her home, Tché Tché gave birth to twelve puppies. Blake was one of them. From his very first moments, Blake knew protection, surrounded by care. The eleven other puppies were adopted by families offering them a safe home too.
Blake grew up with constant attention. When Tché Tché passed away last year, Blake lost his mother, but he remained the bearer of her legacy: strength, resilience and the mark of the one who brought him into the world, and the one who saved him.
Today, Blake embodies this whole story. He is the product of both the Cabonga and Laval, of the wild and of a loving home. He is proof that a single act of courage can transform a life. Blake is not just a dog: he is a life saved.
